Best Apps to Call Abandoned Carts on Shopify (2026)
Eleven Shopify apps that phone shoppers who abandon checkout, compared by AI or human callers, pricing model, texted links and rating. Loop Voice ranks first.

Key takeaways
- Ten apps here call shoppers live; VoiceDrop leaves a ringless voicemail, which the FCC treats as a call.
- Consio and Shopdigits also let your own people make calls; the rest dial with AI.
- Billing units differ: per answered conversation, per minute, per call or a share of recovered sales.
- Loop Voice, the publisher, ranks first for considered purchases; Callsy has the lowest flat fee at $29 a month.
The short list
As of October 2026, these are the 11 Shopify apps worth shortlisting to follow up an abandoned checkout by phone: ten place live calls with an AI agent (two of them also let your own staff call), and VoiceDrop leaves a ringless voicemail instead. Loop Voice ranks first for considered purchases, Consio is the pick if you want AI and human callers in one place, and Callsy has the lowest flat fee at $29 a month for up to 50 calls.
Loop Voice publishes this comparison and ranks itself first, so read our entry with that in mind. Every competitor's price, rating and feature comes from its Shopify App Store listing or its own website, checked on October 16, 2026, and each app gets the job it does better than the rest, including better than us.
If you haven't settled on channels yet, our comparison of abandoned cart apps across email, SMS, WhatsApp and calls comes first.
- Considered purchases with questions to answer: Loop Voice
- AI plus your own team or hired callers: Consio

- Paying only when a sale is recovered: Callfy
- Stores selling on WhatsApp: Kovax or Bitespeed
- A store phone line with AI backup: Shopdigits
- A voice touch that doesn't ring the phone: VoiceDrop
All 11 apps compared
Prices, ratings and review counts as of October 2026, from each app's Shopify App Store listing; Consio's AI agent rate comes from its pricing page. Where a plan is priced per call, ask whether unanswered dials count against it.

Hear a recovery call before you compare features
Feature lists all read alike, so listen to a real call first. In this Modern Hearing call, the shopper stalled on a paid protection add-on at checkout: "No, they want me to pay money for protecting my investment, but I'm not going to do that."
The agent didn't argue or reach for a discount: "Got it. That's optional. You can skip that protection add-on and still complete your order." He skipped it, the order went through, and the agent offered to text him the order status link.
No, they want me to pay money for protecting my investment, but I'm not going to do that.
Got it. That's optional. You can skip that protection add-on and still complete your order. On that screen, do you see a button or link that says no thanks, skip, or continue without protection?
Yes. I just pushed it. No. I'll risk paying for a replacement later.
Got it. You declined the protection. That's totally fine. What does the next screen say now? Do you see a thank you order confirmation page, or is it still asking for anything else?
Your order is confirmed. It's still trying to add something on. I don't want that, so I told them I didn't want it.
Perfect. Your order is confirmed. Order number [redacted], placed today, [date], and it's for one Comfort Pro hearing aids. Total shows two hundred forty nine dollars and ninety nine cents with free insured shipping, and it hasn't shipped yet, so no tracking number yet. Do you want me to text you the order status link so you can pull it up anytime?
Okay.
That is the whole job in miniature: find the real blocker, which here was a confusing add-on rather than price, and clear it while the shopper is still on the page. The other 13 calls in our library are real too, and our breakdown of real recovery calls walks through what each agent did.
The 11 apps, one by one
Ranked by how well each handles the reason to call a cart at all: a shopper with a question an email can't answer. Each entry ends with who should pick it and what to check first.
We also found Pickup, Shoplabs and Ringlee.ai, newer apps that call abandoned checkouts; each had three reviews or fewer when we checked, so test them on your own carts before you trust a rating.
1. Loop Voice (our product, ranked first)
Loop Voice calls a shopper about ten minutes after checkout is abandoned (you can change the delay), answers what stopped them and texts the checkout link during or after the call. A flow can wait, call, text, branch and call again with a discount, and it stops the moment the shopper orders, says stop, is on your do-not-contact list or has a negative call.

The agent names your store at the start of every call, never claims to be human and offers your approved discount code only when price is the objection. You can rehearse it against confused, skeptical and rushed shoppers in a call simulator, then A/B test offers such as "SAVE10 at first objection vs no offer" on live calls.
Pricing is per answered conversation: credits are used only when someone picks up, about 1.5 per conversation, so roughly $1.49 each on the $119 Starter plan and $0.98 on Scale. Published results include Modern Hearing ($300,000+ recovered, 11% of calls became a sale) and Warrior Will Power ($200,000+ from 1,184 calls, 7.1% became a sale).
Best for: considered purchases such as health devices or high-ticket gear, and stores that want inbound support, upsell and win-back calls on the same agent. Where others win: Consio has four times as many reviews and real human callers, Callsy is cheaper to start, and our own pricing page says Loop Voice fits stores with a $50+ average order, 100+ abandoned carts a month and mostly US customers.
2. Consio
Consio runs AI voice agents for inbound and outbound calls and gives your team a power dialer, an SMS inbox and AI call summaries in the same hub. Its campaigns call abandoned checkouts and other Shopify or Klaviyo segments, create a draft order and text the checkout link mid-call, and Consio Talent adds trained human agents who work inside your account, per its App Store listing.
Read the bill in two parts. The listing shows $30 a month for 100 call minutes, and Consio's pricing page adds AI agent time at $0.30 a minute on top of the $0.10 call minute, so a minute handled by the AI costs about $0.40. Unanswered calls use no credits.
Best for: brands that already sell by phone and want AI and people working the same campaigns. Watch for: a bill that grows with talk time rather than with recovered orders.
3. Callsy
Callsy calls abandoned checkouts, answers questions, offers a personalized discount live and texts a custom checkout link after the call, in 40+ languages with 27 voices. Its listing has a free plan with 20 one-time calls, then $29 a month for up to 50 AI calls, $99 for 200 and $199 for 500, with do-not-call listings from the $99 plan.
Best for: a low-cost first test of cart calls, especially for stores that sell in several languages. Watch for: per-call caps, so ask whether a dial that reaches voicemail counts as a call.
4. Ava AI
Ava gives your store a dedicated number that answers support calls 24/7, looking up orders and processing refunds on the call. On the $99 Recover plan it also calls shoppers who abandon checkout and texts the checkout link mid-call, with 400 minutes included and $0.08 a minute after that; the $29 Support plan is inbound only, per its listing.
Best for: small stores that want one number for support and cart calls. Watch for: six reviews so far, so ring it yourself with a hard question before you switch it on.
5. CartCall AI
CartCall AI launched in May 2026. It calls abandoned checkouts, answers questions and shows transcripts and objection insights inside Shopify admin, with adjustable call delays and quiet hours that respect time zones. Its listing prices it per call: $49 a month for 50 calls, $89 for 100 and $150 for 200, with A/B testing between two agents and Klaviyo and Gorgias integrations on the top plan.
Best for: stores that want a simple setup that lives inside Shopify admin. Watch for: one review so far, and the listing doesn't describe a texted checkout link.
6. Conversa
Conversa calls shoppers within minutes of an abandoned checkout, mentions their cart items and totals, offers tiered discount codes and records every call with sentiment analysis. Its listing has no monthly fee on Pay as You Go ($0.75 per call), or $0.35 per call on the $499-a-month Pro plan with script tuning and ongoing optimization.
Best for: testing calls without a subscription. Watch for: a 3.8 rating from 6 reviews, the lowest of the live-call apps here.
7. Callfy
Callfy places AI calls and texts to shoppers who abandon checkout, handles objections about shipping cost, discounts and delivery time, and supports 50+ languages. Its listing uses revenue share: the free plan takes 15% of recovered sales (the first 10 recoveries are commission-free), and Pro costs $149 a month plus 7%, adding callbacks and a dedicated phone number.
Best for: stores that only want to pay when a call recovers a sale. Watch for: no reviews yet, and a commission that grows as recovery grows.
8. Kovax
Kovax pairs AI voice calls with WhatsApp, keeping SMS and email as backup, for cart recovery, support questions and cash-on-delivery confirmation. Starter costs $49.99 a month plus usage for calls and messages, and knowledge base, order lookup and call transfer arrive on the $199.99 Growth plan, per its listing.
Best for: stores selling in WhatsApp-first markets or taking cash-on-delivery orders. Watch for: usage charges on top of the plan fee.
9. Bitespeed
Bitespeed's AI voice agents call abandoned carts, answer questions and offer discounts inside a larger app for WhatsApp marketing, chatbots and a shared support inbox. The listing is free to install with additional charges, and its 4.6 rating from 406 reviews covers the whole app, not only voice.
Best for: brands already running WhatsApp marketing that want calls in the same tool. Watch for: the listing doesn't break out what voice calls cost.
10. Shopdigits
Shopdigits gives your store a toll-free or local business line that your team uses from a mobile app. When nobody picks up, an AI receptionist answers, and it can call back abandoned checkouts within a calling window you set; the $49 Medium Shop plan adds both to unlimited US and Canada calling, per its listing.
Best for: small teams that want a real store phone line with AI cover. Watch for: a 4.3 rating from 6 reviews.
11. VoiceDrop
VoiceDrop doesn't hold a live conversation. It drops an AI-voiced ringless voicemail right after checkout abandonment and tracks deliveries, callbacks and recovered revenue. Its Cart Recovery plan is free to install with 1,000 voice units a month and $0.05 for each extra unit, and it works with mobile and VoIP numbers across the US.
Ringless doesn't mean exempt: the FCC ruled in 2022 that ringless voicemail to a wireless phone requires consent because it counts as a call, so the same calling rules apply. Best for: stores that want a voice touch without interrupting anyone. Watch for: no live conversation, so no objection handling.
What a month of calls costs on each pricing model
The billing units aren't comparable at a glance, so price the same month of work. Example: 200 abandoned checkouts with a phone number, one call each, 80 shoppers answer, an answered call lasts three minutes, and 6 orders are recovered at $150 each. These are made-up inputs; your answer rate and call length will differ.
| App | How it bills | Example month |
|---|---|---|
| Loop Voice | Credits on answered conversations only | $119 (Starter covers about 80 answered conversations) |
| Callsy | Per call | $99 (Pro covers up to 200 calls) |
| Ava AI | Per minute | $99 (240 answered minutes fit inside Recover's 400) |
| Consio | Call minutes plus AI agent minutes | $120 (the tier that covers 240 AI-handled minutes at about $0.40 each) |
| CartCall AI | Per call | $150 (Business covers 200 calls) |
| Conversa | Per call | $150 at $0.75 a call, if every dial is billed |
| Callfy | Share of recovered sales | $135 (15% of $900), or $0 while your first 10 recoveries are commission-free |
Most land between $99 and $150. The bigger differences show up when nobody answers (Loop Voice and Consio charge nothing for unanswered calls), when calls run long (per-minute plans cost more) and when you outgrow a tier.

Not every cart deserves a call in the first place. Our recovery calls playbook covers which carts to call and when calls backfire.
What to check before you buy
Ask every vendor these questions, then test the answers on your own phone before a shopper gets a call.
- Consent. How does the app confirm a shopper agreed to be called, and can you exclude anyone who didn't? Shopdigits says its cart callbacks include consent checks; ask the others to show you theirs. Our guide to the calling rules covers consent, quiet hours and opt-outs for AI calls.
- Quiet hours in the shopper's time zone. Calling windows should follow the shopper's clock, not your warehouse's. CartCall AI and Shopdigits both list quiet hours, and Loop Voice applies them in each shopper's local time.
- Opt-outs that stick. A shopper who says "don't call me" mid-call should land on a do-not-contact list that every flow and channel honors. Callsy lists do-not-call listings from its $99 plan; Loop Voice captures opt-outs on the call and by text.
- Caller ID. Ask which number shoppers will see, whether it can match their area code or show your store's name, and whether you can bring your own. Our local vs toll-free caller ID guide covers the trade-offs.
- Attribution. Ask how an order gets credited to a call (time window, click or both), then hold back a slice of carts as a control; see how to test whether recovery calls are incremental.
- Voice quality. Listen to unedited calls from a store like yours, not a demo reel, and ring the agent with your hardest question. Our real call recordings show what to listen for.
- Discount control. The agent should offer only codes you approve, only when price is the real objection, and spell the code out so the shopper gets it right. Our call script template shows where that rule goes.
Great. On the checkout page, do you see a spot that says discount code or gift card?
Yes.
Perfect. Go ahead and type loop 10 there and hit apply. Did it accept it?
Was it L-U-P 10?
Close. It's L-O-O-P 10. L as in Lima, O as in Oscar, O as in Oscar, P as in Papa, 1, 0. Want me to wait while you enter it?
No, that worked.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use my own phone number for recovery calls?
Usually, though it depends on the app and plan. Loop Voice can buy local numbers in 90+ countries or connect a number you already own through Twilio or a SIP trunk; Callsy lists custom phone numbers on its $199 Scale plan; and Callfy includes a dedicated number from its $149 Pro plan. Ask whether the number can display your store's name as caller ID.
How soon after abandonment should the first call go out?
Loop Voice defaults to ten minutes, Conversa says it calls within minutes, and apps such as CartCall AI let you set the delay. A short wait reaches shoppers while the checkout is still fresh, but if you also send an email or text, leave room for it to land first. Test two delays against each other on the same type of cart before you settle.
