Loop Voice vs Retell AI
Retell AI lets you build voice and chat agents with a no-code flow builder or its API, priced per minute with the voice engine, voice and language model listed separately. It connects to Shopify through Zapier. Loop Voice is built for stores: agents start from store events on Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, Shopline or Checkout Champ, read the cart or order, text the link and report revenue by order.

The short answer
Retell AI is a voice agent platform for contact centers, with a no-code builder, itemized per-minute pricing from $0.07 and strong testing and QA tools. Loop Voice comes ready for one kind of business: online stores. If you run a contact center or need agents across many workflows, Retell fits. If you want store calls that recover checkouts, upsell and win back customers, tied to Shopify orders, Loop Voice is ready without a Zapier build.
Loop Voice publishes this comparison. Details about Retell AI come from Retell AI's pricing page, docs and Shopify integration page, checked on Oct 28, 2026. Prices and features change, so check the linked pages before you decide.
Four ecommerce jobs, side by side
What each one does out of the box for the four jobs most stores buy voice agents for.
Loop Voice
IncludedCalls from the abandoned-checkout event after the delay you set (10 minutes in the default flow), with the cart in hand. Texts the checkout link, offers only the discount codes you allow and stops when the order comes in.
Retell AI
Build it yourselfBatch calls can place the calls, and Retell says Zapier can trigger them from Shopify. You set up the trigger, pass the cart in and stop calls after an order. Batch calls don't check its do-not-call flag.
Loop Voice
IncludedCalls in the window you set after an order, with one add-on that fits what was bought, such as a refill, a bundle or a warranty.
Retell AI
Build it yourselfIts retail page lists upsell calls. Order triggers and offer logic are yours to set up.
Loop Voice
IncludedCalls customers who haven't ordered in 60, 90 or 180 days (you pick the window), opens with their last order and adapts the comeback offer to what they say.
Retell AI
Build it yourselfUpload a lapsed-customer list as a batch call with per-customer variables. Matching calls to new orders is up to you.
Loop Voice
IncludedAnswers 24/7 on the first ring: order status, returns, exchanges, sizing and shipping. What it can't resolve becomes a ticket with the transcript and order attached.
Retell AI
PartialInbound agents are included, with queueing when lines are busy. Order lookups run through Zapier or your own tools.

How each one gets better after launch
Loop Voice
Loop Voice runs the improvement loop for you, scored on store revenue. Agents start from templates for sales, support and abandoned cart, with a prompt score calibrated on real calls and the orders they produced. Before launch, the Simulator plays your agent against six AI shoppers, from a ready buyer to one who suspects it's a robot, and scores each call without dialing anyone. After launch, you can split traffic between two agents and Loop Voice promotes the one with more revenue per call. LoopIQ learns from every call and each week names the one change worth making, such as holding the discount until minute two or calling sooner after checkout, and nothing changes until you approve it.
Retell AI
Retell has a strong testing stack: simulation tests graded against your criteria, AI QA that scores samples of real calls, A/B tests that split traffic, and Conductor, a copilot that turns failed calls into test cases and proposes fixes. Retell says Conductor never edits a live agent on its own. The goals are the ones your team writes, and test runs are billed at production rates.

- You want one plan price instead of a dozen line items.
How pricing compares
Retell lists pay-as-you-go pricing of $0.07 to $0.31 a minute: $0.055 for its voice engine, $0.015 for most voices (ElevenLabs voices cost $0.04 to $0.10), plus the language model. Phone lines on Retell numbers add $0.015 a minute and $2 a month per number, texts cost $0.01 plus $20 a month per number, branded caller ID $0.10 per call, and AI QA $0.10 a minute after 100 free minutes. Loop Voice works out to about $0.95 to $1.49 per answered conversation.
Example: Retell's own pricing example lands at $0.11 a minute before phone lines. 5,000 minutes a month (1,000 answered conversations at 4 minutes, plus a minute of voicemail each) comes to about $625 on Retell numbers, before texts, caller ID and QA. Loop Voice's Scale plan covers about 1,000 answered conversations for $975, with the store layer included.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Loop Voice a Retell AI alternative for online stores?
- For store calls, yes. Retell is a platform you build agents on, used mostly by contact centers. Loop Voice is a finished agent for abandoned checkouts, upsells, win-back and support.
- Does Retell AI integrate with Shopify?
- Through Zapier. Its Shopify page walks through a Zapier setup that confirms high-value orders by phone. There is no Shopify app.
- Does Retell AI have a do-not-call list?
- Yes. Its agents can flag a contact as do-not-call, and STOP replies do the same, but its docs say batch calls don't check that flag. Loop Voice applies its do-not-contact list to every flow, campaign and text.
- Which costs less?
- Per minute, Retell. Per working store agent, it depends on volume and on the engineering time to build the Shopify, texting, consent and attribution layer.
- How do they compare on testing?
- Both test agents before launch. Retell's simulations, AI QA and Conductor grade calls against goals your team writes. Loop Voice's Simulator uses shopper personas, and its A/B tests and weekly LoopIQ change are judged on revenue per call.
