Answers: What can an AI voice agent do for an online store?

    Use cases

Two of the five use cases ran this month. Abandoned checkout is the largest by volume and converts best: 13.7% of the 14,036 shoppers contacted ordered within 5 days. No store runs a randomized holdout yet, so lift is estimated against enrolled shoppers the flows never reached in the same stores.

    Results by use case

Call and SMS conversion credit each sale to its last touch within 5 days: an answered call or a click on a Loop Voice text. Lift is estimated against enrolled shoppers the flows never reached.

Answers: How fast should I call an abandoned checkout?

    Speed to call

The clock counts calling-hours minutes only (8 am to 9 pm in the shopper's time zone), so a checkout abandoned at 11 pm and called at 8:04 am counts as 4 minutes. 72% of checkouts were abandoned during calling hours and got a first call a median 31 minutes later; the rest get their own bar.

Answers: Why do shoppers not buy, or stop buying?

    What shoppers told the agent

824 abandoned-checkout conversations gave a reason. A third of these shoppers were just browsing (33.4%) and a quarter were waiting for a discount or checking the price (25.6%). 17% gave a reason the call could fix on the spot: a product question or a checkout error.

    Not measured yet

What this issue cannot show yet, and why. Each appears once its data stream is live and every cell has 200+ shoppers or calls.

    Randomized holdout

No store runs a randomized holdout yet, so lift is estimated against enrolled shoppers the flows never reached in the same stores. Holdout results replace the estimate once stores switch it on.

    Win-back

    No win-back enrolments this month.

    Failed payment

Failed-payment events are not connected from store platforms yet, so no flow enrols these shoppers.

    Subscription check-in

Subscription events (upcoming shipment, skip, cancel) are not connected yet, so no flow enrols these shoppers.

    Conversion by discount level

Each code level needs 200+ conversations where price was the objection before it is published (this month: no code allowed 191, 10% off 18, 15% off 3). Code use on the converted order is not captured yet.

    Branded caller ID

Caller ID names are not recorded on dedicated numbers yet, so no call can be classed as branded.

    Results by vertical

Stores do not carry a vertical on their profile yet.

    Text delivery rate

Delivery receipts are not recorded yet, so texts are counted as sent.

    How the numbers are made

    Method

    • Who is in it. Online stores on Shopify, WooCommerce, SHOPLINE or a custom platform, live on Loop Voice for at least 30 days, with 300 or more contacts in the month: 7 stores. No store makes up more than 15% of any figure.
    • Use cases and goals. Each contact belongs to one use case, and each use case has one goal: order placed, add-on accepted, new order, payment went through, or next shipment confirmed. Contacted conversion counts 5 days from first contact and is descriptive.
    • Lift. When a store runs a holdout, 10% of eligible shoppers are picked at random and never called, texted or emailed, and lift is everyone else's conversion rate minus the holdout's. Without a holdout, lift is estimated store by store against enrolled shoppers the flow never reached, counting only shoppers who had not bought by the store's median first-call time. It is labelled an estimate, and a holdout replaces it.
    • Calls and texts. Each sale is credited within 5 days to its last touch: an answered call wins; otherwise a text (sent, or its link clicked) wins. SMS click rate counts human clicks, with link previews and bots removed. The attribution model and window are printed with every issue, so a later change never rewrites history.
    • Time to first call. Counts only minutes inside calling hours (8 am to 9 pm in the shopper's time zone, or a state's tighter window). After-hours checkouts are reported on their own.
    • Answered and location. Answered means a person picked up; voicemail and call screening do not count. US state comes from the area code; other countries from the country code.
    • Intervals and small cells. Rates carry 95% Wilson intervals. Any cell under 200 calls or shoppers is greyed out instead of shown.
    • Revenue. Order values are converted to US dollars at fixed monthly rates.
    • Lift this month is an estimate: contacted shoppers against 52,072 enrolled shoppers the flows never reached, store by store in 6 stores. It is not a randomized holdout.
