Loop Voice for Zapier: start flows from your other apps and act in them

Through Zapier, events from apps Loop Voice doesn't connect to directly can start a Loop Voice flow, and a flow can include a "Run a Zapier action" step that does something in another app. Store platforms don't send failed-payment or subscription events to Loop Voice yet, so Zapier is how a billing or subscription app's triggers, or a back-in-stock app's, start a flow the moment they fire.

    What it does

    Starts
Flows from events in apps you connect through Zapier, which lists 9,000+ apps.
    Runs
"Run a Zapier action" steps inside a flow, to act in another app after a call or a text.
    Covers
Failed-payment and subscription events that store platforms don't send yet, and restock alerts from back-in-stock apps.
    Keeps
Every Zapier-started call inside your calling hours and off your do-not-contact list.

    How to connect

    1. 1

In Loop Voice, open Settings, Integrations, Zapier and follow the connection steps there.

    2. 2

Create a flow and choose a Zapier event as its trigger. Feed it from an app event that fires once per customer and carries a phone number, such as a failed charge, a restock alert for one shopper or a form submission.

    3. 3

Add a "Run a Zapier action" step wherever the flow should act in another app, for example right after the call.

    4. 4

Fire the event once for a test customer with your own number, and watch the flow's live tracking of who entered, who is waiting and who completed.

What you can do with it

Use a direct trigger where one exists

Use Zapier for events Loop Voice has no direct trigger for. A direct connection has no Zap to maintain.

    EventDirect in Loop VoiceThrough Zapier
Abandoned checkouts and ordersYour store connection: Shopify, WooCommerce or Checkout ChampNot needed
A segment to call as a campaignShopify, Klaviyo or OmnisendNot needed
CRM events and meetingsHubSpot and CalendlyNot needed
Failed subscription paymentNot connected yet; a segment or a CSV upload worksYour billing app's failed-charge trigger
Subscription skip, cancel or upcoming chargeNot connected yetYour subscription app's triggers
RestockAdded to list, or a custom eventYour restock app's trigger
A form in another toolA CSV uploadThe form tool's new-submission trigger

A CSV upload enrolls a list you export, so it suits a daily batch. A Zapier trigger enrolls each customer when the event happens.

    Subscription events through Zapier

Failed-payment and subscription events aren't connected from store platforms yet, which is why Loop Voice's September 2026 benchmark has no results for either. If your subscription app has Zapier triggers, they fill the gap. Recharge, for example, lists these among its Zapier triggers (Recharge on Zapier):

    • Charge Failed, which "triggers when a charge fails".
    • Charge Max Retries Reached, which "triggers when a charge reaches its retry limit".
    • Charge Upcoming, Subscription Skipped and Subscription Cancelled.

The failed payments playbook leaves soft declines to your billing app's retries and calls the subscribers retries can't save. Charge Max Retries Reached fits charges that used up their retries; a hard decline may never be retried at all, so check how your app treats one before you pick the trigger. Charge Upcoming fits subscriber check-ins, which Loop Voice times ahead of the billing date. A call after a cancellation needs the most care: turn on the no-arguing and respect-refusals guardrails, and read the state rules on cancellations in our subscriber guide.

What a "Run a Zapier action" step is for

The step hands the next move to another app: a row in the sheet your retention team works from, a task for whoever owns wholesale accounts, a message in a team channel. Keep calls and texts to customers in Loop Voice's own steps, where your do-not-contact list, calling hours in each customer's time zone and the rule of no more than 3 outbound calls to one customer in 24 hours apply.

On Zapier's side, a task is an action a Zap successfully completes (Zapier key concepts), and Zapier's plans are sold by tasks a month, starting at 100 on Free (Zapier pricing). If a flow runs an action for every customer it reaches, check your Zapier task usage after the first week.

From a failed charge to a call

Example: a coffee subscription store runs Recharge and collects call consent at checkout. Recharge's Charge Max Retries Reached trigger, connected through Zapier, starts a Loop Voice flow. Inside calling hours, the agent tells the subscriber the renewal didn't go through and offers to text the card-update link from the customer portal. If the call isn't answered, a text step sends the link. A "Run a Zapier action" step then adds the subscriber to the sheet the retention team reviews each morning.

    FAQ

    Common questions

Is Recharge a Loop Voice integration?

No. Recharge is a subscription app you run. Its Zapier triggers can start a Loop Voice flow through the Zapier integration, the same as any billing, restock or form app with Zapier triggers.

Does a Zapier event mean the customer agreed to calls?

No. Zapier passes the event along; consent comes from how you collected the number. Loop Voice calls only people who agreed to be called, so feed flows only with those customers, and read our guide to calling rules for what AI calls need.

Which Zapier plan do I need?

It depends on the Zap. Zapier's Free plan has 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps only; multi-step Zaps and premium apps need a paid plan, with Professional from $19.99 a month (Zapier pricing, checked Nov 5, 2026).

Zapier or a CSV upload for failed payments?

Zapier, if your billing app has a Zapier trigger for failed charges: each subscriber enters the flow when it fires, with no export to remember. If your billing tool can only export a list, upload it as a CSV once a day.
